I’ve chosen to release my work for free in no-frills digital formats for the purpose of maximum accessibility. I’m tired of agonizing over trad or self-publishing, monetization, and marketing decisions. It’s just procrastination and self-sabotage at this point. If I tried to do this “right,” people might never get to experience my stories. The entire point of storytelling is the audience, after all. So, here you go. The files won’t be as pretty as an expensive Brandon Sanderson leatherbound, but you’ll get to read them no matter where you are or whether you have money to spend on silly little piles of words or not. After all, another hero of mine, Scott Sigler, proved definitively that you can release your work for free initially and build a loyal following(and a successful career).
